Making Strides: Creating Walkable Communities

Influential Urban Planner and author Jeff Speck presented strategies for creating walkable communities on August 28, 2019.

Background:

Jeff Speck's two most recent books, Walkable City and Walkable City Rules make strong arguments that cities should be—and often want to be—more walkable. Jeff's work shows that walkability has benefits to heatlh, wealth, the environment, and sense of community that we feel in our neighborhoods, cities, and county.
