Salt Lake County Encourages Participation in Survey to Understand Needs of Those Who Need it the Most

Residents Can Help Direct Resources to Where They Are Needed Most

Salt Lake County, UT—Salt Lake County is encouraging residents to weigh in on the needs of underserved families, individuals and communities by taking a survey that opens today, September 10. Feedback from the survey will help Salt Lake County identify and understand needs and will inform the 2020-2024 Salt Lake County Consolidated Plan, a document for community development and housing activities and programs that outlines needs, priorities, strategies, and resources available.

“Over the past few years, Salt Lake County has partnered with HUD as well as other organizations to serve those who need it the most,” said Salt Lake County Mayor Jenny Wilson. “This survey will help us better understand how to best utilize and direct resources to make the biggest impact with tax dollars.”

Salt Lake County awards over $5 million in federal funding annually through grants aimed to improve local communities. The survey is a part of a needs assessment and prioritization process that helps ensure funding is allocated to address the greatest community needs and to make effective and efficient use of government funds.

The survey is available at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/SLConeeds and takes about 10 minutes to complete.
