General Information

Passport applications are being accepted by appointment only.

Application processing times may vary. Refer to the US Department of State Website for the most up to date processing times.
Due to mail delays service times for passport processing have increased. Routine service can take up to 8 weeks from the day an application is received at the passport agency. Expedited service can take up to 3 weeks. Please plan accordingly.
Customers who apply for a passport on or after December 18 can expect a processing time of 6-8 weeks from the day an application is received.
Expedited service for customers on or after December 18 can take 2-3 weeks.

Requirements

1. A completed Passport Application (DS-11) form. Do not sign forms until asked to do so	Download Forms
2. Valid identification	Valid forms of ID
3. One U.S. passport photograph. Photos must meet all State Department requirements. Passport photo service is available in our office for applicants aged 5 years and older for a fee of $10.00	Photo Requirements
4. Applicable fees (see Fee Schedule below).
5. A certified copy of your birth certificate, if born in the U.S. DOCUMENTS NOT ACCEPTABLE include: hospital certificate, baptism certificate, notification-of-birth, and California abstracts of birth. If born outside the U.S. you must provide a Certificate of Citizenship/Naturalization or Report of Birth Abroad.
6. ALL APPLICANTS must personally appear when applying for a passport. Children under 16 years of age must have both parents present. Children 16 and 17 years of age must have one parent present.
7. Social security numbers must be provided for all passport applicants.

* If you are paying for 2 to 3 week service for a passport book you have the option to add $19.53 for Express Mail delivery from the U.S. Department of State. This amount should be included in your check or money order. This option is NOT available for passport cards.
